Every six months, we meet up at the BOOKBRIDGE Summit to re-connect, celebrate achievements and learnings while making an impact. Many alumni stay engaged as advisory board members or start their own initiatives.

Our story

The first social enterprise is created in Mongolia as part of a scout exchange.

Legal setup and audit

BOOKBRIDGE was incorporated as a tax-exempted foundation in Basel, Switzerland in 2010. The Foundation invests interest-free loans into the social enterprises created in our programs. To separate our impact investing activities from our action learning programs, BOOKBRIDGE GmbH was setup in Neumarkt, Germany. The GmbH is fully owned by the Swiss Foundation. The Foundation has closed partnership agreements with our country organizations and social enterprises. They are all legally independent institutions in their countries.
